What Makes Our USCIS Birth Certificate Translation Service Better?
We have been referred to as one of the best translation companies in the country, although we are not the largest. Here is what makes us the best:
- Our founder Dan Hickman, Ph.D., coordinates and translates most Spanish to English birth certificate translations for USCIS.
- We are a small team and have worked together for over eighteen years.
- We translate Spanish birth certificates to English more than any other document.
- We never use computer translation, AI translation and we don’t outsource translation to third parties
- We provide all translation rates in advance and never have hidden fees.
- We only charge what shipping carriers charge us for mailing and shipping, no extra fees.
- We are able update completed translations when needed, such as when translating hand-written Cuban birth certificates or handwritten documents from Ecuador, Colombia, Spain or Honduras. If something is not correct, we will update quickly.
- We provide actual customer service by phone, which is never answered by service. You can always talk to a translator.
Why You Can Trust Dan Hickman and Southeast Spanish’s Birth Certificate Translation Process:
It’s very simple, when you call around to translate a Spanish birth certificate to English, a lot of birth certificate translation services will brag about translating many, many languages, which really means they sub out or outsource the process to actual translators as they don’t have hundreds of translators. Dan Hickman, a former tenured college professor of Spanish, and his small team, complete all translations personally. Each translation is signed in ink, stamped/sealed in ink and then scanned, emailed and shipped back to you. We don’t use third party services, we answer all calls personally, and we stand behind all work. For example we see handwritten birth certificates every day, and once they are ready, we will send by email and ask for review. If any word/name/date needs to be updated, we will do right away, no issues. Every translation is 100% guaranteed.

I contacted Dan because I needed two death certificates translated in order to transport remains to south-America. Dan emailed me right away and proposed to talk on the phone. He took the time to listen to what the actual issue was and share his experiences with me and what was really needed in addition to the translation. I then emailed the documents to Dan and within minutes I had a quote. I was surprised about the turn-around. In less than one day I had the documents translated and notarized looking in Spanish exactly like the American originals. The work is extremely high quality and Dan takes the time to listen to your requirements and do what you need. I am extremely happy, grateful, and thankful that I found Dan and he was able to do such a high-quality work for me. I will most definitely come back for any future translation needs. Thank you for the five star service.
